I have always been a person who gives people the benefit of the doubt.  I try to always see the good in people.  There are times when God places in your path that one person who is going to test you in your intentions to see the good, the pleasant, the purity in the other.  There are times when correction of behavior is needed.  When a person becomes argumentative and always wants to engage in debate, what do you do?  Do you continually engage them?  Do you ignore the negative characteristics? … what? what do you do? … I’ve developed a “three strikes and you’re out” mentality.  However, recently I was “called on the carpet” for that … Debbie you should always give the person the benefit of the doubt, they said.  Hmmm, well, I turn to the Bible for life answers.  This is what I found … “Reject a divisive person after a first and second warning, knowing that such a person is perverted and sins, being self-condemned.” ~ Titus 3:10-11. When you show a person the “error of their ways” and they refuse to acknowledge any wrong … after the second correction, this verse says to “reject [the] divisive person.”  I guess I need to change my ways from a “three strikes and you’re out” to a “two strikes and you’re out.”
