“Lazarus Awakening” by Joanna Weaver
This book took quite sometime for me to get through. This is a positive statement not a negative one. This book is not meant to be read in one sitting. You definitely need to slow down and meditate on each thought presented. Once you finish the book, you will have a new or renewed perspective of God’s love for you. Joanna Weaver uses Lazarus as her focal point to illustrate her thoughts; scriptural support for a solid biblical foundation; and, life stories to illustrate further. The author also provides an appendix with additional resources to enhance your study time while reading through “Lazarus Awakening.” One of those resources is a study guide so you can use the text in a small group setting. Appendix D is one of my favorites as well. The title of this appendix is “Who am I in Christ.” This is a great book for study and reference.
