“Humble Orthodoxy” by Joshua Harris

“Humble Orthodoxy” is a little book with a giant message. Don’t let the size of the book fool you. This book is deep with the message of humility and orthodoxy. This is a book to encourage every believer to walk with truth, grace and love. Right teaching, not running from culture but stepping into culture from a point of truth and grace is what will change our culture. Humility before God and honoring Him is our focus. God’s character shaping our character is the pursuit of each Christian.
The gospel message is offensive to the world and our desire to be accepted received and admired by the world deactivates the gospel power. We are to defend biblical truth but we are to do so with love, humility and gentleness to others.
This book is a perfect gift book. The only change I would suggest would be to move the “Acknowledgements” to the beginning of the book as an explanation of the book’s original source and current project intent is noted in that section.
“I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review.”
